Wendover Woods Walks For All


Walks through coniferous woods. Wonderful blue bells in early May. Great views.

Terrain details: There are many paths with hard surfaces including an All Ability Trail, however the Woods are hilly and steep slopes limit the length of trails that can be used. There are no stiles or barriers. For those wanting to explore there are many natural “challenging” paths. The map in the leaflet shows types of path, slopes, etc. to help you to decide which paths are suitable for you.

Amenities available on route: Open from 8am until dusk. Car parking is pay and display. Public and disabled toilets. There is often a mobile refreshment vendor in the car park. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control. The woods are managed by Forest Enterprise. Call 01420 520212 for more information about the woods or to report any problems. www.forestry.gov.uk
How to get there: The entrance to the Woods is from a minor road off the B4009 between Wendover and the A41. The Woods are signposted. The entrance is on the right hand side as you go up Aston Hill.
