Stenbury Trail
One of eight waymarked "inland trails" on the Isle of Wight, this route passes the pretty, thatched village of Godshill and the ruined mansion of Appuldurcombe.

Amenities available on route: The walk starts on the edge of Newport which is a busy town with many shops, cafes & pubs. A good half way point is Godshill, just a few hundred yards off the trail, which has many tea gardens, pubs and cafes. Ventnor Botanic Gardens itself has a cafe.
How to get there: The start is 10 minutes walk from Newport Bus Station. The end point is also on a bus route - contact Southern Vectis Buses on 01983 532373 for information.
