Prospects of Polesden
An undulating walk from Ranmore Common in the Surrey Hills, through part of the National Trust estate of Polesden Lacey. From the walk there are good views of the Mole Gap, London, and on a clear day, the South Downs.

Amenities available on route: There are no pubs or shops along the route. There are toilets and a tearoom in the grounds of Polesden Lacey - but please note there is an admission fee for entrance to the grounds.
How to get there: The Surrey Hills Explorer Bus (NT1) this year runs from 14th April 2006 until 29th October 2006 at weekends and on Bank Holidays, and connects with trains from London, Guildford, Reigate and other towns across Surrey at Dorking and Dorking Deepdene stations. The buses stop at Polesden Lacey, and a number of other popular walking locations and visitor attractions in the Surrey Hills. For timetables or further information, please call 01372 452048.
From Polesden Lacey, walk back along entrance driveway and through memorial archway to start the walk at point 6.
Parking: Pay and Display National Trust car park on Ranmore Common, or car park at Polesden Lacey for paying visitors to the property (both free to National Trust members). Please note that on certain days of the year, there may be a queue for car parking at Polesden Lacey.
