Enjoy the pleasures of the River Thames, rolling countryside and Chiltern beechwoods on a Chilterns Country Walk with a choice of a 3 mile "Water Walk" or a 6 mile "Woods & Water Walk" , both circular.

Terrain details: The short circular route is fairly level with no stiles and some kissing gates. The longer route has a steady climb up to 300 ft on unsurfaced tracks and no stiles. Detailed access info below and in the leaflet. Water Walk - access to the Thames Path from the station is via a flight of steps. Level access is via Station Road, The Parade and Wharf Lane. The route on the Thames Path is flat, mainly on short grass with accessible gates. However, the rail crossings are via small kissing gates not suitable for wheel chairs. Access to the gravel pit over the western rail crossing is by a short but steep incline greater than 1:12. There are no stiles on this route. Woods & Water Walk - This walk is an extension on to the valley slopes. The walk rises approximately 300 feet (100m) from the river on unsurfaced tracks.

Amenities available on route: Refreshments are available at pubs en route and from Emmetts Farm Shop in Little Marlow.
How to get there: Twice hourly trains run from Maidenhead to Bourne End. From London Paddington the journey time is about 50 minutes. Bus service 317 links Bourne End with High Wycombe and Maidenhead. Car parking available in Bourne End and at at Spade Oak.
