This is a 31/2 mile walk encircling the harbourside village of Itchenor (also known as West Itchenor) with splendid views of Chichester Harbour, past attractive harbourside houses, across farmland and along the shoreline.

Amenities available on route: Toilets - located at the side of the Harbour Office, at the end of the road, near the water. Cafés - there is no cafe; however there is usually an ice-cream van most days during the summer months. Pubs - the Ship Inn in The Street.
How to get there: By road – from the A27 take the A286 south of Chichester leading towards the Witterings. After about 5 miles, at the small roundabout, head towards West Wittering. About 1/2 mile later take a right hand turn signposted Itchenor. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you see a sign on the left to a pay and display car park. Between April and October, roadside parking is limited to one hour, so to do this walk one must park in the car park. By bus - there is no longer a bus service to Itchenor, despite the bus stops you may see! The nearest stop is at the Itchenor Crossroads, which would give a 2 mile walk to the start.
