Terrain details: The trail surface is mostly crushed, rolled sandstone (Fittleworth). There are also sections of grass and tarmac. A shorter loop is available by returning from the cottages. The route passes through Hollingbury Woods which slope gently from north to south.

How to get there: By car: Take the Hollingbury/Ditchling exit from the A27, do not turn right at the roundabout but continue straight on and then turn right over the A27.
