From the City to the Sea - Chichester to East Head
This walk takes you along the old canal from Chichester, reaching Chichester Harbour at Birdham and then along the shoreline, through Itchenor (also known as West Itchenor), Rookwood and Ellanore, to the sand dunes of East Head at the harbours entrance, finishing in the village of West Wittering.

Cafés - there are cafés at the railway and the Canal Basin (run by volunteers), also at Chichester Marina (Spinnakers), West Wittering beach car park and in West Wittering village (Beach House café).
Pubs - The Ship Inn at Itchenor and The Old House at Home at West Wittering village.
How to get there: By road - Plenty of car parking (pay and display) is available in the railway station car park and in the multi-storey just round the corner in Avenue de Chartres (footpath directly through to railway station).
