Devil's Dyke Trail - Easy Access Trail


This is one of several trails in the south downs which are suitable for people with impaired mobility, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and push chairs. From the trail you can enjoy fine views of downland, farmland and sea.

Terrain details: The Dyke Access Trail is a 2 km wheelchair-friendly, circular route, free of any steps or slopes and accessible for everyone. There are resting places every few hundred metres. The firm surface extends beyond this circular route to Devil's Dyke, Hangleton and Red Hill Car Park.

Amenities available on route: Information board at start of trail. Car park with two disabled bays. Picnic area.
How to get there: Bus information: 77 from Rottingdean has easy access buses and space for one wheelchair. The 77 bus will stop on request at bus stops on route. Along Devil’s Dyke Road it can be hailed and will stop anywhere that is safe. This includes the car parks at Dyke Approach, Boundary Halt and Poor Man’s Corner. Boundary Halt car park is signposted on the right.
