Andy Goldsworthy chalk stones

A five mile (8 km), two to three hour walk through the heart of the South Downs , following a trail of 13 Chalk Stone sculptures by the environmental artist, Andy Goldsworthy.

How to get there: This trail can be reached by bus from Chichester or Mi d h u r s t . T h e re is a good south coast train service to Chichester which can be linked to the regular no. 60 Stagecoach bus service (half hourly throughout the day Mondays to Sa t u rdays, hourly in the evening and on Sundays and Bank Holidays – see timetable on leaflet). The rele vant bus stops are Cocking Hill and West Dean Gardens for the start and finish of the Trail re s p e c t i ve l y.
