Burton pond Trail - Easy Access Trail


Burton Park.

The easy access trail forms part of the LNR Nature Trail that loops around the whole site leading to the historic Burton Park. The whole trail is approximately 400m long with lake views.

Terrain details: Please note that there is a fairly steep slope up from the car park at the base of the dam but beyond that the trail is quite level. The trail is fairly easy going for motorised wheelchairs and push chairs and is one of several trails in the South Downs suitable for people with impaired mobility, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and push chairs

Amenities available on route: Burton Mill (next to the car park) is open to the public selling tea on sunny summer weekends. There are no facilities at Burton Pond. The nearest wheelchair accessible toilet is in Petworth (car park).
How to get there: By car: Burton Pond Easy Access Trail lies about 3km south of Petworth and about 1km east of the A285 Petworth to Chichester road.
