Bembridge Trail
A walk from the heart of the Island to its eastern tip, over downland, besides marshes at the mouth of the River Yar, passing historic houses and the interesting village of Brading.

Terrain details: There are several steep sections both up and down where the trail traverses the downs. The latter stages of the walk are fairly flat but may be waterlogged in winter.

Amenities available on route: Newport is a large town with shops, supermarkets and many pubs and cafes. Arreton has the White Lion pub along the route and you also pass the Arreton Barns Craft Centre with a pub, gift shops and cafe. Brading has many pubs, cafes and shops as does Bembridge.
How to get there: The start point is 10 minutes walk from Newport Bus Station. The end point is a very short walk from Bembridge which is on a bus route. Call Southern Vectis Buses on 01983 532373.
